A little girl about six years old, sitting alone on an old wooden chair at a camp meeting in the damp heat of summer in Kentucky, was feeling pretty small and insignificant. Everyone was listening to the preacher called in from Detroit to preach a revival. As he wiped the sweat from his face and brow, giving all he had to the people in truth, that little girl was to remain quiet and not make a fuss because it was her daddy up there and what he was saying was very important and she was raised to not speak or say a word. Suddenly, an elderly man approached her with a gift she would never forget. He handed the little girl a fan. This fan was like nothing she had ever seen and it was a treasure to her. The fan was on a stick and made of paper. She leaned back in her chair looking around at the women to see how to use it properly. As she began to fan herself the picture on the fan became very vivid to her mind and her heart. The picture on her fan she thought she had seen before and then remembered. She had seen this fan in a Bible on one of the color picture pages. It was Jesus being Baptized. Above Jesus' head was a beautiful Dove. The glistening rays from Heaven were shining on the Dove and on Jesus' head while Jesus stood in the water. This image was never far from this little girl all during her growing up years. She learned the meaning of the Dove in Luke 3:22 as her dad explained to her that this Dove is the Holy Spirit. The impact was yet to come.

When this little girl became an adult and in the days when CB's were a way of communicating in travel she called herself Whitedove. In the mid 60's Whitedove was a name she would always want to be remembered by. In December of 1969, Whitedove surrendered to the Lord at 9:30 in the morning, listening to the radio program of Rev. Oliver Green. She knelt beside her bed and prayed the sinners prayer. I have used the name Whitedove Spirit for over 40 years in one way or another and then the Lord gave me reason to put it all to work for His glory...not mine!

Throughout my entire life I have never forgotten how Jesus burned this picture in my mind, my heart and in my soul, as a child, for me to fulfill the purpose in my life. I thank that man that considered the child sitting alone who gave me that fan because I kept it for years. It was old a tattered and torn but it was a gift. Time lays in God's hands and it is never too late to fulfill your purpose.

Whitedove Ministry is about many things and wants to share with you some simple truths. I was little and small yet, God didn't see me that way at all. As a matter of fact, my real name means small. That use to bother me until I realized one thing. When I am small He is made big! In my sharing this I pray you understand something very profound. Parents and children, regardless of what adults do, think or feel, parents, you are the very beginning image of what and how children will relate to God in their life. How they will react in their relationships, their trust, their marriage, their thoughts, their self worth, how they will handle heartache and trials and character building events, their entire being? They learn to trust God or fret over Him. They will either learn to love or they will become bitter. It can be changed in a split second decision. As parents we need never under estimate what we are feeding them for them to grow. We have a tremendous responsibility. We may concentrate on the major things as what we believe is important but I am living proof that some of the smallest gestures made the biggest impact on my life. Years later, even though I have not always been His servant, I never knew until a few years ago how I would fulfill the image burned in me as a child. Even now I struggle the old nature and He just keeps loving me right through them. It took a while but now I know and work hard to fulfill my calling!

This is why White Dove Ministry, Whitedove Radio, and Whitedove Spirit, all the same yet, distinctively different.
